Horizontial Directional Drilling

Accurate Excavation has been utilizing a method of pipe and conduit installation known as HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) in the desert southwest of Arizona since 2004. The HDD system used by Accurate Excavation is a Vermeer 24x40A. This system has the capabilities of installing pipe or conduits ranging in sizes from 1 inch to 12 inches in diameter and lengths to 500 feet or more in some cases. Since 2004 to date (2010) approximately 23,000 linear feet of conduits and pipe products have been installed using this non-invasive process.

A variety of customers call upon Accurate Excavation to help meet their project needs. The industries most commonly served by this application include electrical, telecom, water/sewer, and natural gas. The HDD process is very desirable for utility installation under roadways where traffic flow must be maintained. With the elimination of saw cutting, traffic control, patching of the roadway and faster installation times, it becomes an economical decision to use this process rather than conventional open-cut and trenching methods.

Let the professional staff at Accurate Excavation take the headache out of your next utility installation project.
